Few fantastic landscapes..

Another puzzle, showing scenery of a jungle with trees showing fall colors, came few years later in 2007. It was again a gift from one of my grandmothers. It was a bright, beautiful picture. It took us quite a while since there were lot many colors and same colors at many places. After it was done, we didnt know where to hang that one. Few days before we finished it, my grandparents had moved in their new home, so we decided to give this puzzle frame as a gift for the new house.

A year or more after that bright colourful jungle puzzle, we were craving for another puzzle but this time we wanted it to be even bigger and more challenging. So our hunt began by searching websites, shops in the town etc. We had not been able to find any striking picture as of yet. Whenever there were good pictures available, the puzzle size was small, or if puzzle had lot of pieces then pictures were not very good.

It was around May 2008, and it was time for a Himalayan trek. I have been going to a Himalayan trek every year around May since last 3 years. Due to some exams Harshad was not coming for this trek. After his exam got over, he decided to visit our cousins, Prachi & Gaurav in Mumbai. Prachi is very creative and enthusiastic about almost everything. Once Prachi knew we wanted to get a puzzle, she went with Harshad to many malls where he could find something. After searching in few malls and some disappointment, Harshad finally found a fantastic puzzle with rocky mountains bearing some snow on and around them, basking in the radient sun rays. Since we were fond of trekking, we loved these mountains.

By the time he got back home and started with the puzzle, I came back from my Himalayan trek. I had been to a great trek in great mountains and came back to some more.. :) This time we were more enthusiastic about this because it was the biggest one we had done till then. We also had decided a deadline for us this time since we wanted a lot of our relatives to see this puzzle when they would come at our house for a pooja in August, in Ganesh Festival. We always have a Ganapati Sahasravartan in Ganapati Festival which is around August every year. We used to sit looking at the puzzle pieces day and night, whenever we got time. We were very proud to see this puzzle hanging in our hall in the time we had decided..
